STATUS: AvalonBay Communities, Inc. has been designated by Queens West as the developer of these parcels. These 3 buildings will add 1,000 housing units to Queens West.

Ground breaking for Parcel 11 occurred on December 14, 2000. Included on Parcel 11 will be 79 apartments reserved for senior citizens, built under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development program commonly known as Section 202.

As progress on this stage is made, Queens West will also add an additional 1.25 acres of public park to the existing 4.5 acres opened.
